DataGlue

Glossary / in plain English

Customer journey

A customer journey is the set of steps someone takes as they find, buy from and return to your business.

01 / Why it matters

What this helps you understand.

The website may hold the first visit, ticketing the booking and a till the next purchase. One system rarely contains every recorded step.

02 / A small example

The steps. Then the tag.

Example rule / events → tag

  1. Ticketing: ticket purchased

  2. Venue: ticket scanned

  3. POS: member purchase recorded

In this order, on the event day, with a shared customer ID.

Resulting tag

Attended and bought at the venue

Illustrative rule. Sources, match keys and timing are agreed in the build.

03 / In DataGlue

How we use it.

DataGlue joins the steps your systems actually record, then turns a chosen sequence into a tag. Missing data stays missing; a journey is only as complete as its sources and match keys.
