Glossary / in plain English

Click ID

A click ID is a code attached to an ad click so the ad system can recognise that click later.

01 / Why it matters

What this helps you understand.

A saved click ID can connect a later result to an earlier click when the records can be linked. It identifies a click, not a person's whole identity.

02 / A small example

The steps. Then the tag.

Example rule / events → tag

  1. Website: landing visit with a click ID

  2. CRM: linked enquiry created

  3. Billing: linked payment received

In this order, within 30 days, with a confirmed journey link.

Resulting tag

Ad click became a paid customer

Illustrative rule. Sources, match keys and timing are agreed in the build.

03 / In DataGlue

How we use it.

DataGlue keeps available click IDs with their source events and joins the later recorded steps. Sending a result back to an ads platform depends on its accepted fields and the agreed permission.

Build it with us

Bring one result you want to find.

A dedicated team maps the sources, checks the fit and builds it with you. Scope and price are agreed with the team.
