ANPR / number-plate data

ANPR data is a record of a vehicle's number plate seen by a camera, usually with a place and time.

01 / Why it matters

What this helps you understand.

Arrivals and departures can describe a vehicle visit. A plate identifies a vehicle record; it does not, by itself, identify the driver or prove a purchase.

02 / A small example

The steps. Then the tag.

Example rule / events → tag

  1. Car park: vehicle arrived

  2. Car park: same vehicle departed

In this order, at the same site, with a visit duration over 30 minutes.

Resulting tag

Vehicle visit over 30 minutes

Illustrative rule. Sources, match keys and timing are agreed in the build.

This is a vehicle tag. Joining it to a person or purchase needs separate, permitted evidence.

03 / In DataGlue

How we use it.

DataGlue can join available plate-reader records to site events using a vehicle or visit ID. The build scopes access, permission and any further links before defining the outcome.
