A common problem / a joined result
Leads drop off and we don't know why
Find the last recorded step and the next step that has not appeared.
Talk through the sources behind your question.
Sound familiar?
Enquiries look healthy, but fewer people reach a call or signed deal. You cannot tell whether the gap is before the handover, after the call or in the follow-up.
The pieces live apart.
The form, call and proposal sit in different tools. A website funnel ends at the form, and a CRM funnel may start after it. Neither shows the whole recorded handover by itself.
Website
The submitted enquiry
CRM
The completed call
Proposal tool
The signed proposal
Each source has a piece. The join gives the pieces a shared meaning.
One rule. A useful result.
Example rule / events → tag
Website: enquiry sent
CRM: call completed
Proposal tool: no signed proposal recorded
Enquiry then call on the same lead, with no linked signature within 14 days of the call.
Resulting tag
Completed call awaiting a signed proposal
Illustrative rule. Sources, match keys and timing are agreed in the build.
A missing recorded event identifies a gap to review. It does not tell you why the person stopped.
What you get
- The last recorded step across the handover.
- A shared waiting window before a gap is tagged.
- A review tag for the team that follows up.
Systems usually joined: Website, CRM, Proposal tool. The team checks the records, match keys and destination with you.
A question that crosses teams.
Marketing, sales and operations teams trying to find where enquiries stall.
Good questions. Clear answers.
Will it tell us why someone stopped?
It can show the recorded path and a missing next step. The reason may need a customer reply, call note or other evidence; a missing event alone does not explain intent.
What if a sales rep has not updated the CRM?
Then the record may show a gap that is really a capture problem. The team checks source coverage and agrees how late or missing updates should affect the rule.
Can our team choose the waiting window?
Yes. The event order, keys and time window are part of the visible formula agreed in the build, so the tag fits your sales process.
