DataGlue
PostHog integration

PostHog, joined, in and out.

DataGlue marries PostHog data with your other systems and sends outcomes back. Every number shows its formula and its records.

PostHog: An open-source product analytics suite with events, session replay and feature flags.

HOW IT CONNECTS

What moves between PostHog and DataGlue. Product events and person properties come in. Outcome properties can go out.

  • IN + OUT

    Webhook

INPostHog sends a webhook to a DataGlue inbound URL when a record is created or changes. Fields map to people and events once, in the build. Every fact keeps PostHog as its source.

OUTDataGlue sends signed webhooks to PostHog on the events and conversions you pick, with filters.

  • IN + OUT

    Your warehouse or database

INPostHog data lands in your warehouse or database through a sync you run, or one set up in the build. DataGlue reads only the columns a decision needs, with the source on every fact.

OUTWhere the build sets it up, DataGlue writes outcomes and evidence into your warehouse, and PostHog picks them up there.

  • IN + OUT

    REST API

INPostHog records are sent to our REST API with a scoped key, as events and linked ids on the same person. The calls are set up in the build.

OUTPeople, sessions, events and conversions are read from our REST API with a scoped key and written into PostHog.

There is no native PostHog connector today; the routes above are how it joins. Connections are agreed in the build. We check the source data, consent and identifiers before promising a linked journey. PostHog is a trademark of its owner; this page implies no partnership or endorsement.

WHAT DATAGLUE DOES WITH IT

Describe the outcome. DataGlue works it out and shows you the formula.

  1. 01

Describe the outcome you want in plain words, such as "Activation by acquisition channel".

  2. 02

DataGlue works it out from the definitions of your data sources, PostHog included, and shows the formula in concise English.

  3. 03

Send it on: to reports, BI tools, any destination, or the AI tools your team already uses.

  • EXAMPLE OUTCOME 01

    Activation by acquisition channel

    THE FORMULA

Users who reach your activation event within seven days, by their first visit source.

  • EXAMPLE OUTCOME 02

    Features used before upgrade

    THE FORMULA

The share of upgraded accounts that used each feature in the 30 days before.
